Card Played:

If only this was Yu-Gi-Oh! and I could dramatically say, “You’ve activated my trap card!” Instead, I’ll summon my Hexologist. (Yes, it’s me.)

I agonized for ages over the text and abilities to put on this card. It seemed like a fun little bit to add to my application, and it definitely put more ideas for fun faux-cards to make for my friends. Other flavor text ideas were: “Beware the English major with a vendetta!” and “English and geology…what drives a student to study such things?!”

Beyond my most relevant experiences listed in my resume, I’ve also worked in customer-facing roles and customer management jobs since 2014. From my very first job at BedBath&Beyond (at the ripe age of 16) to leaving my last management position at gorman, I’ve accumulated nearly eight years of experiences not listed on my resume direct.

The work that I’ve done from day one has shaped me into an amazing communicator, an active team player, a cogent and thoughtful manager, a patient customer service advocate, and an all-around hard worker. All of my experiences have shaped me into the management professional I am today, eight years later.

MTGA, Dungeons & Dragons, Wizards of the Coast have fostered communities that I care deeply about. The opportunity to work in and for that community is one that I cannot pass up. I hope to share more about me, my work, and my favored decks (currently mainlining Selesnya Enchantments on MTGA) and to learn more about what I can do for and with Wizards of the Coast, its communities, and the Senior Communications Manager.
