We’re ringing reading-in the new year!
I’m still working my way through Leigh Bardugo’s Ninth House—and not because it’s bad! It’s a phenomenal book and I’m really enjoying it. I’m just suffering from a bout of Reader’s Block. . .a very long and extended spell. . .of Reader’s Block. It’s fine! I’m fine. Everything is fine*. And once I’ve finished Ninth House, my next read is This is How You Lose the Time War by authors Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone.
But! I still have plenty of books that I want to read and I intend to get through several books (both new and old) by the time I’m back. In the meantime, what books are you most looking forward to in 2020? Is it Zaina Arafat’s novel You Exist Too Much? (Catapault, June 2020) Or Genevive Hudson’s Boys of Alabama? (Liveright, May 2020)
I’ll be away for a bit on a break while I get myself ready for the upcoming semester. Rest assured that by the time I return, I’ll have read more books—and bought more too!
See you next year!
